Where Here it comes comes from

Here It Comes uses a frame from a staged tornado-selfie video released in 2014. The Woolshed Company made the clip as promotion for Into the Storm; it is not footage of a real encounter with a tornado. By 2019, the image was circulating as an object-labeling meme that paired the person in the foreground with an approaching problem. Use it for something you can see coming but cannot quite avoid, such as a deadline, a difficult opponent, or the consequences of procrastinating.

Variations and GIFs

The image also circulates under the name Tornado Selfie. An earlier caption style described an Australian trying to go somewhere; the later object-labeling version turns the tornado into an approaching event or consequence.

FAQ

Straight answers, no catch

How do I make a Here It Comes meme?

Type your words into the caption fields and the Here It Comes template updates as you type. Then download the PNG — no account, no watermark, and the AI can write the caption for you if you would rather pick than write.

Is this meme generator actually free?

Yes. Manual template editing and PNG or GIF downloads are free in your browser. AI caption suggestions are limited to 20 requests per hour from one IP address.

Does the downloaded meme have a watermark?

No. The PNG or GIF contains only your chosen template and caption text — no freememegen logo or watermark.

Can I use a meme commercially?

A download does not grant rights to a meme template, uploaded photo, person, or caption. You are responsible for copyright, publicity rights, and whether your use qualifies as parody or another permitted use.

What does the AI receive?

Your idea goes to an AI provider. We store it, generated captions, a hashed IP address and operational metadata to enforce limits and check quality. Automatic deletion is not implemented. Images and final rendering stay in your browser. Email contact@freememegen.com to request removal.

Can I upload my own picture instead of a template?

Yes. Choose “Use your image or GIF” and add a JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF. It gets the same editable captions and free download, and it never leaves your browser.

Do I need an app or a download?

No. It runs in the browser on phone and desktop, so there is nothing to install and nothing to sign into.

Can I get the blank meme templates without captions?

Yes. Open any template, clear the caption boxes, and download the clean PNG or GIF.

Can it write the caption for me?

That is the main flow. Type the situation in your own words and the AI returns six captioned memes in six different formats, so you are choosing between finished jokes rather than staring at an empty box.
